Salmon High School is participating in its initial FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Regional Robotics Competition to be held at Huntsman Center at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The competition takes place on March 18th thru March 20th, 2010.

I was born at Steele Memorial Hospital 54 years ago, Dr Blackedar (rip) brought me into the world and was the family physician for years. My grandmother was an LPN there for 20 some years also. We moved to Oregon when I was in the third grade, but my siblings and I came "home" to Salmon every summer until our early teens. I have great memories of those summers.

Today, Jan. 12,2009, Shirley started the training on three of our young horses.  As usual, they are kind and gentle and easy to work with.  We look forward to thier development.

To whomever might read my first attempt, I wished to explain my photo which I believe might display whenever someone reads my blog. Sharon took the photo with a Canon Powershot after dark. The subject is a teepee frame we set up in our backyard. Our neighbor sort of gave us the idea of wrapping Christmas lights around it. The digital camera kind of added the ghostly effect.
